The 5^th International Symposium "Green and Smart Technologies for a Sustainable Society" among those universities has been held on the 25^th -26^th of March at Faculty of Engineering, Yamaguchi University.

Partnering with University of Zaragoza and Universidade Nova de Lisboa enables mutually-beneficial collaborations and greater opportunities for staff and students.

Commencing with opening remarks by Dean Hiromori Tsutsumi, presentation were demonstrated on "Maintenance of Sustainable Infrastructure", "Development of new materials and process for problem solving of Water, Environment and Energy" and "Development of Information Technology".

Furthermore, the Group, Universidade Nova de Lisboa, University of Zaragoza, University of Cantabria and Silpakorn University gave a courtesy call on Dean Tsutsumi and had great opportunities to strengthen partnerships with those universities abroad.

The next symposium will be held at University of Cantabria in September, 2020.
